Five things to know about the NBA’s trade deadline

The Philadelphia 76ers traded away a first-round pick to the Washington Wizards for a 2019 first-rounder on Friday, adding to a roster loaded with talent in the 2019 NBA draft.

The 76ers’ trade also sent forward Markelle Fultz and a 2019 second-round draft pick to Washington.

Philadelphia’s draft pick was used to select UCLA guard Jordan Bell in the second round of the 2019 draft.

It’s the latest blockbuster in a blockbuster offseason for the 76ers, who traded away three first- and second-rounder in the deal, along with guard Jordan Clarkson, guard Kelly Oubre and draft picks from last year’s draft in a trade that sent their first-overall pick to Dallas for a protected 2019 first.
